How has NICERC curricula impacted your classroom?

NICERC has added another dimension to my classroom. My students are much more involved and motivated since we began using the curriculum for physics and robotics. The effort they put forth to complete assignments in a quality manner, so they can spend more time with their projects is wonderful!

Why is STEM education so important for your students?

STEM education is critical to my students. The student population is 98% Hispanic, and many are English Language Learners, as well as undocumented scholars. The hands on approach of the NICERC program has helped to ease the language obstacle for students by providing more “Hands On” learning opportunities.

Share with us a favorite success story from your classroom.

One of my students is new to United States and is working hard to over come the language barrier. He has been able to use the picture guide and book to assemble a functioning robot. The experience has helped him in learning English and given him some much needed confidence through success.
